Inglewood High School
About the Project
The Inglewood Union High School District was created in 1905 with Inglewood High School as its primary location. At a time when high school was central in civic and social life, Inglewood High School was a signature facility.
The School District originally encompassed Inglewood, Wiseburn, Hawthorne and Lennox areas. This district split and, in 1944, became the Inglewood Unified School District. Curriculum reflected the community’s changing educational needs. For instance, when Inglewood was agricultural, the School maintained a teaching farm at Kelso Street and Inglewood Avenue.
