About the Project
The Creative House is a 501(c)3 non profit art gallery founded in Inglewood in 2016 to help the community survive, develop, transition and thrive through art access and art education.
The Creative House is dedicated to sustaining and revitalizing the community through the arts through gallery, education and marketing efforts. The fine art gallery, open to the public Tuesdays through Sundays, showcases curated exhibitions. They offer diverse programming, workshops and seminars based on art and individual empowerment. Accessible free art education, activities and events for children and adults are a feature of this cultural organization.
About the Founder
Cofounders Rasta Asaru and Khnum Alexander are dedicated to art in community. Mr. Asaru, a sculptor and art activist, attended Otis College of Art and apprenticed with master artist Charles Dickson. Mr. Alexander is a community activist and entrepreneur, from an entrepreneurial family, instructed from an early age to work with others to succeed.
