About the Project
Inglewood’s Senior Center is two-story, 35,000 square-foot facility serving as a home away from home for seniors 50 years and older in the Inglewood, Hawthorne and Lennox service areas. The facility includes a dining hall, commercial kitchen, exercise and community rooms, pool tables, transit offices, below-grade parking and significant public art throughout.
Responding to the senior community’s needs and hopes, architects gkkworks and general contractor Pinner Construction worked as one to realize the ambitious, design-build project. Recognizing the Center’s overall aesthetics, strategies and function, the design-build team won two Western Pacific awards from the Design Build Institute of America.
