Kids Come In All Sizes
Artist
Anne Cheek La Rose, REZIN and Community Youth Volunteers
About the Project
Kids Come In All Sizes is a collaboration between Inglewood artists Anne Cheek La Rose, REZIN and Inglewood’s North Park community. To abate graffiti, the artists designed a mash up of fiber arts and hip-hop culture as a Park signage wall.
Community volunteers and neighborhood children were taught mural painting techniques. Cheek La Rose worked with interested children to made them a part of their park. She laid out color blocks to be painted; each child chose the color and block they wished to paint. REZIN created the cartoon-inspired birds and text painting.
