About the Project
The Marvin Engineering Co, a manufacturer of mechanical assemblies, built their three-story headquarters in Inglewood in 2005. Nadel Architects designed the 135,000 square foot building as the headquarters in a larger campus. The company’s research and development laboratories, high-tech manufacturing and corporate offices are on one site.
Inglewood is a prime location for industries central to regional defense and aerospace industrial corridor. Nadel’s architectural plan draws from the intersection of machine and design. The building’s exterior finishes are industrial-strength, including three types of custom corrugated metal siding reinforce the concept of industrial manufacture and site-cast concrete surfaces in diverse textures.
