Untitled (Swimming Pool Mural)

About the Project
The mural on a utility structure at the Edward Vincent Park swimming pool is a site-related artwork by artist Ink REZIN. The work playfully explores the swimming world: a ferocious shark guarding a treasure chest balances a mellow angelfish watching over the pool. The mural employs saturated colors and bold lines on the fish and plants.
The City displays artworks created outside of its formal Public Art Program in some Park facilities, City Hall and other sites. Noted artist Ink REZIN used his signature colors and well-regarded technique to brighten the community recreation area.
About the Artist
REZIN, the artist’s tag used by Ron Lewis, was born in Greenville, Mississippi, and moved to Los Angeles as a child. REZIN is a multi-media artist who also works in music. His visual art uses a graffiti style that grew out of the LA music scene.
