Welcome to Inglewood

Michael Massenburg with Inglewood Youth Neighborhood Action Committee
About the Project
Welcome to Inglewood is a community pride project led by Michael Massenburg and created with the Inglewood Youth Neighborhood Action Council. The mural commemorates Inglewood’s designation as an All American City in 2009, and is an homage to the 1989 designation. The local youth developed symbols and themes to honor the city. The artwork centers on the city’s seal surrounded by Inglewood landmarks. The Forum and the Randy’s Donuts sign are recognized by residents and visitors. Coming together as a team, the participants named their creative ensemble ‘Youth Pledging Peace’. Welcome to Inglewood was a project of Inglewood Cultural Arts.
